Job Overview

The Estates Department at University Hospitals Dorset provides a comprehensive maintenance, repair and installation service of the buildings, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake maintenance, fault finding, test & repair work on a very wide range of complex engineering services & equipment
  • Work in varying, often technical environments while complying with Health & Safety/ environmental regulations and standards
  • Participate in an emergency on-call rota and undertake on-call duties
Requirements
  • HNC in Building services plus specialist training and experience to graduate level, or equivalent gained through a relevant apprenticeship plus additional specialist knowledge and experience
  • Authorised/Responsible and/or Competent Person in one or more of the following specialisms: LV Electrical Systems, HV Electrical Systems, Heating and Ventilation Systems, Decontamination Safe Water Systems, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems, Confined Spaces
  • Full U.K driving licence
