About the Role

The Sound Check Development Coach will work in partnership with Future Yard CIC to develop and deliver inspiring and engaging Sound Check Skills Bootcamps training and employment programmes for adults aged 19+.

The successful candidate will utilise their passion, skills, and experience of the live music industry to equip learners with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to progress into employment or further training/education within the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learners to gain hands-on work experience at live events through a network of partner local venues.
  • Prepare learners for a guaranteed interview with an employer at the end of their programme.
  • Work with the Sound Check delivery partnership team to raise and maintain a high Quality of Education in alignment with OFSTED Education Inspection Framework.
  • Meet all contractual and funding requirements for both The Learning Foundry and Future Yard CIC.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle and an enhanced DBS check.
  • Passion and experience of working within the live music sector.
  • Some experience in at least one of the following areas: Technical Production, Event Management, or Musician.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as presentation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently using initiative to think of new and creative approaches.
  • Relevant teaching qualification, e.g., Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or Cert Ed.
  • Experience of working with individuals who are not in employment, education, or training and/or delivering training and employability programmes.
