About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our patients, working alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal and intimate care to patients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Undertake clinical observations, including vital signs and other relevant measurements.
  • Assist with manual handling and moving patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Follow stringent policies, including infection control and manual handling, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families, promoting a positive and supportive care environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a second-year student Nurse or a third-year Medical student, with completed first placements in your respective fields. You must also be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts in a rolling 3-month period and remain compliant with all essential training.
