Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in providing expert advice and care to patients with palliative needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in palliative nursing and be able to work effectively as part of a supportive clinical team.

About the Role

This part-time role involves working 19 hours per week, covering East Surrey and West Sussex. You will be responsible for delivering specialist palliative care to people at the end of life, including face-to-face visits, telephone support, and occasional out-of-hours visits. You will also participate in a rota system to provide 7-day coverage, ensuring that there is always someone available to support patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality specialist palliative care to patients with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with primary care network colleagues to deliver coordinated care.
  • Provide expert advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in a rota system to ensure 7-day coverage.

Requirements
  • Degree-qualified nurse with experience in palliative care.
  • Strong background in physical assessment and prescribing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
