Hotel Maintenance Manager

About Hunton Park Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Manager to join our team at Hunton Park Hotel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and control heat, light, and power, and recommend current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
  • Develop specifications and requirements for service contracts and administer such contracts to support building needs.
  • Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor timeliness and quality of completion.
  • Oversee and direct the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.
  • Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and oversee execution of plan.
  • Develop project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs.
  • Contact contractors for bids and supervise construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau, and vendors.
  • Ensure fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment, and alarms.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services, such as painting, repair work, renovations, and replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Ensure building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
  • Maintain property life safety systems, including fire fighting equipment and alarm systems.
  • Ensure all hotel staff comply with health and safety training.
Requirements
  • 3 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
