Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team at AMETEK. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and overhauling a wide range of aircraft communications, navigation, radar, radio, and audio units to component level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair, including through-hole and surface-mounted components.
  • Complete fault-finding, repair, and testing processes using specialized and general-purpose test equipment.
  • Work in accordance with the manufacturer's component maintenance manual and regulatory approvals, as well as our company's quality system.
  • Maintain accurate and legible repair records and ensure they are filed in a timely manner.
  • Meet quality and cost-effectiveness standards, ensuring accuracy and safety standards are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with company working practices and procedures.
  • Undertake cross-training in other technical areas as required by the business.
  • Utilize the Quantum system to ensure effective delivery.
Requirements
  • Full driving license.
  • Degree or diploma in Aircraft Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in EASA 145 maintenance organizations and understanding of regulations.
  • Good understanding of aircraft component maintenance principles and system avionics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality, health and safety, and environmental management concepts and principles.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures, with the ability to communicate, lead, and deliver improvement initiatives.
  • IS09001:2015/AS9100/AS9110 experience.
  • Auditing internal and external.
  • Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build close relationships with outside agencies.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Innovative and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and multitask.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision after completion of the probationary period.
  • Due to the nature of the business, security clearance will be required.
