Senior Data Protection Specialist

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.
We are seeking a Senior Privacy Analyst to join our Data Protection team on a maternity cover basis until June 2025. This role comes at an exciting time of growth and development as we work to raise awareness and support culture change regarding data and data rights throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, manage data protection risks, and handle data subject requests.
- Provide expert advice on data protection issues, conduct privacy impact assessments, and deliver training to staff to embed best practices across the organisation.
- Play a key role in helping us build and develop a network of local data protection focal points to extend our reach and ensure a consistent approach to data protection.
- Demonstrated experience in a privacy or data protection role, preferably within a large organisation.
- Proven track record of managing data privacy projects, including conducting privacy impact assessments and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (such as GDPR).
- Experience in providing strategic advice and guidance on data protection matters to various stakeholders within an organisation.
