As a Payroll Operations Manager at Zellis, you will lead a team of payroll and operational experts responsible for maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the team. You will own the delivery of a first-class and high-quality service to clients, driving accurate and timely management of payroll, case management, team efficiencies, and communications.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and resource plan the team on a quarterly basis.
- Track work allocation and reassign any overdue tasks.
- Monitor controls and regular auditing to ensure completeness.
- Ensure the quality of service delivered to customers, monitoring customer NPS and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Monitor and deliver SLAs and KPIs.
- Attend customer service review meetings.
- Be the final escalation point for customer queries, dealing with incidents and providing regular updates.
- Drive a people-led culture of development and performance, supporting and developing colleagues to achieve their career goals and objectives.
- Support new business implementations.
- 5+ years in a Payroll Leadership/Management role.
- Succession planning and development experience.
- Process optimization knowledge and experience.
- Ability to demonstrate and deliver continual service improvement.
- Good knowledge and experience of HR practices.
- Experience of managing complex and high-volume teams, performance management, and objective setting.
- An effective communicator (verbal and written) at all levels for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask, deal with complexity, and conflicting priorities/projects/deals at the same time.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the capability to engage with stakeholders at different levels.
- Accomplished at working effectively across teams in a matrixed operating model, with ability to proactively plan resource.
