About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Radiology team as an Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will provide efficient and clerical support to the Radiology Department, including community sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a high-quality service to patients, visitors, and colleagues within the Radiology Department.
  • Work as part of a team to book patients' appointments for diagnostic purposes, using the electronic diary.
  • Be the first contact at Radiology reception desk and on the telephone for all service users.
  • Rotate between tasks and sites, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Support the booking of Radiology appointments made outside of the Radiology Appointment Centre.
  • Arrange patient transport and interpreters as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and embrace new changes.
  • Display excellent communication skills and act in a professional manner with sensitivity and discretion.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths Grades 9-3 (A*-D) or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good basic IT and keyboard skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to use judgement, confidentiality, and discretion.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Medical terminology.
  • Awareness of equality and diversity, data protection, and Health and Safety legislation.
