Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior IT Manager to lead our corporate services function at Blackburn College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our Management Information Systems (MIS), providing leadership to our IT teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain our student record database, reporting suites, and Individual Learner Record (ILR)
  • Provide leadership to our IT teams, including Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Admissions, Exams, and Computer Services
  • Oversee the provision and development of all aspects of Information Technology (IT) across the college, including hardware, software, networks, and related systems
  • Ensure the effective use of IT for teaching, learning, and assessment

Requirements

  • Education to degree level or relevant industry experience
  • Significant experience of Further Education funding and rules, and Individual Learner Record (ILR)
  • Experience of complex management information systems and corporate reporting
  • Effective communication, supervisory, and interpersonal skills to lead and work as part of a team
