Children and Young People Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of our community-based mental health service, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support children, young people, and adults with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver face-to-face, remote video, and telephone sessions to clients presenting with depression and anxiety.
- Work autonomously within the service, managing your caseload and time effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Recognized postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy, such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, or humanistic therapy.
- Professionally accredited/registered as a counsellor or psychotherapist.
- Experience of working in a Primary Care setting, preferably in an IAPT service.
- Ability to work with diverse client groups, including children, young people, and adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.
- A competitive salary of £43,742 to £50,056 per annum, pro rata for part-time.
