Account Manager

Datcom is seeking a skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team. This role will be instrumental in managing client relationships, nurturing strong partnerships, and ensuring the best quality service is given.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background, a strong customer-centric focus, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. They will be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior executives and board members.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building trust, credibility, and maintaining relationships.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to understand client needs and objectives, providing proactive support and advice.
- Work closely with the Account Director and Sales Team to develop strategic plans to expand business within targeted clients.
- Conduct contract renewals, engage in pricing negotiations, and create quotations for client requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest market trends, technologies, and versions to ensure clients' technical landscapes represent the best solution for them.
- Technical IT background, preferably with a Microsoft-based technical background.
- Customer-obsessed with a strong customer-centric focus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to hold your own in high-level discussions and negotiations.
- Good business acumen, with an ability to understand small to medium-sized businesses' challenges.
- Pragmatic problem solver, attentive to detail, and able to work on multiple complex projects at once.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a strong networker, negotiator, and client liaison.
- Collaborative, with the ability to work cross-team and have a general technical acumen and interest in new technology.
