Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the Fleet: Develop and implement strategies to increase the size of the fleet, ensuring it remains modern and well-maintained.
  • Enhance Sales and Marketing: Create and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • Build a Strong Team: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team to support the business's objectives.

As Operations Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving efficiency, and ensuring the company remains competitive.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: A successful history of profitably running and growing a specialist machinery sales or equipment hire business, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Electro-Mechanical Expertise: Experience with electro-mechanical machinery is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and engage with people throughout the business.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Location: The successful candidate must be based in Southern England, with limited travel required throughout the UK.
