Role Description

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding volunteering opportunity? Do you want to make a real difference in your community? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Special Constabulary as Community Safety Constables. This role involves working closely with our Response and Neighbourhood Policing teams, carrying out high-visibility patrols, making arrests, and dealing with anti-social behaviour. You will also attend public events, support regular officers with call handling, and assist with crime prevention and youth diversion.

As a Community Safety Constable, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills and knowledge, while contributing to keeping our communities safe. You will be required to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours per month, which can easily fit around a regular job. The salary for this position is estimated to be £21,402 - £28,714 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a good level of fitness and be able to pass a physical fitness test
  • Must be able to pass a medical examination
