Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Associate Director Building Surveyor to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing building surveying projects across various sectors, including retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, residential, and public sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage building surveying projects from feasibility studies to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and other stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior surveyors and other team members, and mentor them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other partners, and ensure effective communication and project management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field, and Chartered status (RICS or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building surveying, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and managing teams, and developing and implementing project plans and strategies.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills in building surveying, including feasibility studies, project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
