Job Title: Associate Director Building Surveyor

About the Role

At AGM Construction Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our building surveying team, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams on high-profile construction projects, including retail, health, energy, commercial property, education, residential, and public sectors.
  • Undertake feasibility studies, produce specifications, obtain estimates, obtain statutory approvals, and administer contracts for refurbishment projects.
  • Apply standard forms of building contract, such as JCT and NEC, and demonstrate knowledge of building surveying professional services.
  • Mentor and train Building Surveyors and provide Supervisor support to Junior Surveyors on the RICS APC programme.
  • Support senior managers in their day-to-day activities and line manage junior Building Surveying staff.
  • Conduct surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services, and manage regional schemes.
  • Develop new business opportunities, including preparation and submission of bids.

Requirements

  • A B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS accredited degree.
  • Chartered status essential/highly desirable.
  • Significant building surveying experience and sound technical surveying knowledge.
  • Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and sound commercial awareness.
  • Experience in mentoring, training, and coaching team members.
  • Experience managing workloads and projects.
  • Sound knowledge of drafting technical documents, including clients' requirements, asset reviews, feasibility studies, specifications, and drawings.
  • Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements and Statutory Compliance.
