About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at a leading chilled food manufacturer. As a key member of the quality team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance across our production sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety regulations, quality management systems, and experience in the chilled foods sector. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) specific to chilled food products. This includes conducting regular audits and inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

The successful candidate will also stay updated on changes in food safety legislation and ensure that company practices are aligned with the latest requirements. Additionally, they will manage and lead the company's response to any quality or safety incidents, including product recalls or customer complaints.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement QMS for chilled food products.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in food safety legislation.
  • Manage and lead the company's response to quality or safety incidents.

Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • Experience in the chilled foods sector.
  • FDA, HACCP, BRCGS, and ISO 22000 qualifications.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing QMS.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Location: Hertfordshire, Essex, or Cambridgeshire
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per year
