About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Management Project Specialist to join our team as a Schools M&E Project Lead. This is a 12-month fixed term role with flexibility required to manage changing project requirements and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and operations teams.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, engineering standards, good industry practice, and quality control measures.
  • Manage all identified remedial activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines. Engage with contractors to ensure competence, site safety, works scheduling (during school day and outside school hours). Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that arise.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical drawings, O&Ms, and financial records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications. Facilitate effective collaboration among project team members and external partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as additional annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements
  • M&E qualifications and industry practice, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the education sector or PFI projects.
  • Strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, proficiency in project management, and a solid understanding of compliance within an M&E environment.
