About the Role

As a Building Asset Condition Specialist at KBR, you will play a vital part in our Estates Intelligence team, which is renowned for its innovative approach to public sector FM Assurance. Our team provides cutting-edge technical platforms and professional services to central government and specialist departmental estates portfolios, enabling them to effectively manage their estates and supply chains.

Your Responsibilities

You will report directly to the Senior Estates & Technical Services Manager and be primarily engaged in fieldwork to survey the client's estate. Your focus will be on managing a survey program aimed at capturing the condition of assets, buildings, and space utilisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting surveys on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Record-keeping of site visits
  • Managing building plans
  • Utilizing KyKloud software for data input
  • Providing advice on asset renewal
  • Attending project meetings
  • Updating systems for accurate client reports

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an individual with extensive experience in comprehensive asset surveys, building fabric studies, and space planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality and have a strong understanding of asset maintenance requirements and the broader built environment. Proficiency in mobile data capture and reporting tools, including iPad apps/systems, is also essential.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of building surveying in commercial buildings
  • A minimum of City & Guilds certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, experience working in the field of Asset Collection/Validation & BF Surveying
  • Eligibility for Enhanced DBS clearance, CTC, and SC clearances

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
