About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated People Development Specialist to join our successful and dedicated People and Organisational Development Team.

As a key member of the team, you will work alongside a small group of colleagues to deliver proactive people activity, providing an efficient, effective, and customer-oriented people service to our colleagues and management community.

Key responsibilities will include supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle, employee relations activity, TUPE processes, redundancy and change management processes, attendance management, and performance management.

In addition, there is significant scope to be involved in a variety of People Projects, including the delivery of our Management Development Programme, IiP project, Wellbeing programme, and systems implementation project.

We actively encourage participation in our professional networks, which include EDI and Sustainability committees.

About You

You will have a people-focused approach, underpinned with a solid understanding of employment law.

You will need to be able to work independently and use your initiative to make well-informed decisions and proactively solve problems.

You will be competent at managing a number of people priorities and processes simultaneously.

You must be able to quickly adapt to changing situations and work at pace to ensure projects meet the required timescales.

You will need to be able to build positive relationships quickly, having the ability and confidence to build credibility and trust with a range of stakeholders, advising with confidence on people processes.

You will also have good attention to detail and be IT literate.
