Environmental Scientist

The successful candidate will work as part of a pharmaceutical testing laboratory in the North West of England, conducting various responsibilities related to microbiology and environmental monitoring.
About the Role:- Perform microbiological testing and validation according to GMP/cGMP guidelines.
- Conduct regular environmental monitoring to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Review and reconcile all environmental monitoring samples at the end of each production run.
- Responsible for technical review of documents, including data verification and reconciliation.
- Provide updates to clients and maintain effective communication with external partners.
- Conduct media preparation, culturing microorganisms, and perform various microbiology tests, such as Bioburden testing, sterility testing, and bacterial endotoxin testing.
- Verify laboratory data and review results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Microbiology or a related field.
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical testing laboratory, with a focus on microbiology testing.
- Proven track record of conducting environmental monitoring and validation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial analytical testing laboratory environment.
- Experience working with GMP guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a permanent opportunity with a negotiable salary (£35,000 - £45,000) and additional benefits, including a competitive package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
