Job Title: Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Brainkind. As a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide occupational therapy input within the BIRT Neurobehavioural model.
  • Lead on OT provision within the service, liaising with internal and external professionals, family members, and service users.
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of service users with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behavior.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, using highly developed clinical reasoning and specialist knowledge.
  • Work with service users, family/carers, and outside agencies to promote service user-centered therapeutic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of guidelines and policy at a local level.
Requirements:
  • Highly developed skills and knowledge in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Highly developed critical thinking skills.
