About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a System Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems that power our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and highly available systems that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and technical guides.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing and system engineering.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with systems automation using BASH, Python, Perl, etc.
  • Experience with network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, HTTP).
  • Exposure to cloud computing concepts and design considerations.
  • Knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems.
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar).
