Job Summary:

The Retail Partnership Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Footwear Product Developer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for supporting the design team in developing styles across seasonal collections.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Senior Footwear Product Developer to develop and implement product strategies.
  2. Support the design team in creating and maintaining product critical paths from proto sample through to salesman samples/Gold Seal.
  3. Ensure timely and efficient pre-production processes, adhering to key timelines.
  4. Develop and maintain seasonal, SMU, and collaboration products, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  5. Manage and organize footwear samples, maintaining a clear and efficient sample system.
  6. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of post/sampling/trims/colour development.
  7. Establish and maintain effective communication with factories, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  8. Provide regular updates on critical path movements and outstanding tasks to all teams.
  9. Work closely with the design team to engineer products that meet margin targets.
  10. Support the design team in developing products for testing to relevant standards.
  11. Identify and communicate potential risks and challenges at all stages.
  12. Assist and support the team with day-to-day duties, ensuring seamless operations.
  13. Liaise with marketing, sales, customer service, and operations teams for product-related queries.
  14. Travel to suppliers' locations as required.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a reputable company, preferably in the footwear industry.
  2. Proven ability to multitask with strict adherence to deadlines.
  3. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  4. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Programs.
  5. Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  6. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, driven by teamwork and collaborative innovation.
  7. Self-starter with a solution-oriented approach, able to manage own workload effectively.
