Care Support Assistant
As a Care Support Assistant with the North East Autism Society, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for children and young people in our residential care homes. You will work independently and as part of a team to support the children in their daily lives, including getting ready for school, preparing meals, and participating in activities such as trampolining or swimming. Your goal will be to help the children develop their independence and reach their full potential.
About You
We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who is able to build positive relationships with the children in their care. You should be a good team player with a can-do attitude, drive, and resilience for what can be a demanding role. While experience in health and social care is not essential, our comprehensive induction, training, and mentoring will give you the skills and tools you need to thrive in your career. You should be friendly and approachable with good communication skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with the children.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary, boosted by on average two sleep-ins a month, as well as a pension scheme with employer contributions. You will also have access to up to 40% of your salary as you earn it, and you will be paid and supported to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Additionally, you will have access to employee discounts on over 130,000 shops and entertainment venues, including Tesco, Argos, cinemas, and holidays.
How to Apply
If you are a caring and compassionate individual who is looking for a rewarding career, please apply today. We look forward to hearing from you.
