Job Title: Survivor Advocacy Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Survivor Advocacy Support Worker to join our team at Red Snapper Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to survivors of domestic violence.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, with a temporary to permanent contract. The salary range is between £26,000 and £27,784, based on experience. You will be required to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as part of a set rota.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide case work support to survivors of domestic violence, working closely with each woman to develop and implement individual safety support plans.
  • Carry out risk and needs assessments, and advocate on behalf of women with external agencies, including MARAC, courts, housing, and social care services.
  • Attend case review and team meetings, contributing to effective team communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all work undertaken, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work sensitively and non-judgmentally with vulnerable clients, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Women's Aid or SafeLives Level 3 qualification (desirable) and a willingness to attend training and achieve this qualification.
  • Experience of working with women affected by domestic abuse, including risk assessment and management, safety planning, and support planning.
  • Awareness of cultural needs and an understanding of the practical, emotional, social, and economic issues facing women and children affected by domestic violence.
  • Excellent IT, written, and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of housing, welfare, and policy relating to domestic violence, as well as safeguarding for adults and children.
