Commercial Strategy Lead

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Strategy Lead to join our team in the South East. As a key member of our defence procurement team, you will be responsible for delivering commercial excellence across major public sector programmes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile defence projects and develop your skills in strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation. You will be expected to operate on a hybrid working routine, with time spent in our office and on client sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, with experience in procurement and supply chain management. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplined programme team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive value and efficiency in defence procurement
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers and clients
- Collaborate with programme teams to deliver commercial excellence
Requirements:
- Degree qualified and CIPS or MRICS qualified (or working towards)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Public sector procurement experience - PCR Regs
- Demonstrable commercial management experience
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
