Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant Lead to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. As a key member of our water sector EIA delivery team, you will be responsible for technical oversight and governance for water sector EIA development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of water sector EIA projects, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and development within the team, and implement strategies to enhance capabilities and capacity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the UK and Ireland to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in full EIA delivery, including screening, consultation, scoping, and ES delivery.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on growth and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the environmental consulting market across the UK, with a focus on entrepreneurial and commercial flair.
  • Broad EIA technical and legislative knowledge, with experience in one or more environmental technical areas, such as geo-environmental, ecology, archaeology, landscape, acoustics, or coastal/marine environment.
