Job Title: Sibling Activity Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Family Support Team as a Sibling Activity Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of activities and events for siblings of children with life-limiting conditions, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to express themselves and connect with others who understand their experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a range of activities and events for siblings, including workshops, outings, and support groups
  • Work closely with the Family Support Team to ensure that the needs of siblings are met and that they receive the support they require
  • Collaborate with other teams within the hospice to ensure that siblings are included in all aspects of hospice life
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to siblings, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of sibling activities and events

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with life-limiting conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
