Job Title: Sibling Activity Coordinator

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sibling Activity Coordinator to join our Family Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering engaging activities for siblings of children with life-limiting conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a range of activities and workshops for siblings, both in-house and off-site, to promote peer support and relief from young carer responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Family Support Team to plan and deliver a comprehensive program of events and activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of siblings.
  • Maintain effective communication with families, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Manage a dedicated budget for sibling-related activities and implement cost-efficient strategies to maximize impact.
  • Evaluate the service and provide data-driven insights to inform future service development.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people with varying needs and experiences, including SEND.
  • Proven ability to coordinate group events, activities, and workshops for children and young people across a wide age and capability range.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable young adults, with a strong understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Ability to assess children's emotional and behavioral needs and provide appropriate support.
