About the Role

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for. We are currently seeking a skilled Peer Support Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized recovery plans.
  • Model personal responsibility, self-awareness, and self-advocacy to inspire hope and confidence in peers.
  • Facilitate access to benefits, welfare rights, employment, and legal services to empower service users.
  • Maintain accurate records of service user progress and participate in regular review meetings.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with statutory, independent, and voluntary agencies to support service users' goals.
Requirements:
  • Good level of secondary education to GCSE level.
  • NVQ Level 4 or NVQ Level 3 plus training to diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of Accredited Peer Support Worker Training.
  • Lived experience of mental health challenges.
  • Wide range of life experiences to bring an enabling and positive view of opportunities for others.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
