Job Title: Special Education Support Assistant

Vision for Education - Newcastle is seeking a Special Education Support Assistant to join their team in a full-time, long-term role. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Autism or other additional needs.

About the Role:

The Special Education Support Assistant will support some of the local authority's most vulnerable young people in a specialist SEND provision in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated and engaging individual who can make a positive impact on the lives of these young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 Behaviour Support to students with Autism or other additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement behaviour plans.
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
