About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our dynamic team in an alternative education provision. As a 1:1 support worker, you will work closely with a secondary-aged student to provide tailored academic and emotional support, monitor their behaviour, and support their mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support throughout the school day.
  • Assist with academic tasks and support learning in various subjects.
  • Monitor and support the student's behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support mental health and wellbeing, promoting emotional resilience and coping strategies.
Required Skills and Qualities
  • Experience working with young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), behavioural challenges, or mental health needs.
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Understanding of alternative education provisions and how they support students' learning and personal development.
