Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic primary school in Westminster. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, fostering a harmonious and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and PTSD in a 1:1 or group setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with challenging behavior.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Calm and empathetic approach to challenging behavior.
  • Long-term aspirations within SEN education or a related field.
  • Ability to work well within a team and with children.
  • Willingness to gain a Fully Enhanced DBS if not already in possession of one.
