We are a leading economic consulting firm, seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Research Analyst. This role involves analyzing and interpreting significant amounts of client data to understand how competition works in various industries. You will research how firms compete with each other, identify key variables affecting their decision-making processes, and summarize relevant facts to understand a client's industry.

As a Research Analyst, you will work closely with your team to understand client issues, relate them to relevant economic theory, and support analysis with rigorous empirical evidence. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from advising on the competitive impact of mergers to analyzing market trends.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analysing and interpreting client data to understand competition in various industries.
  • Researching how firms compete with each other and identifying key variables affecting their decision-making processes.
  • Summarizing relevant facts to understand a client's industry.
  • Taking responsibility for quality control and ensuring accuracy and error-free work product.
  • Drafting reports and interpreting analysis.

Skills/profile sought:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics or a quantitative subject such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • Highly analytical and organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Stata and Excel skills desirable.
