About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead client engagements and develop technical and strategic solutions for our customers. As a Director of Global Trade Policy, you will work closely with our team of experts to analyze policy issues, including trade and FTA policies, trade economics, direct investment flows, economic impact, and scenario analysis.

The Middle East is our fastest growing region, with a diverse client set spanning government ministries, industrial/manufacturing, energy, technology, and mining firms. Our clients partner with us for insight and expertise to help shape their global trade relationships, trade and FTA policies, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead client engagements and develop technical and strategic solutions.
  • Analyze policy issues, including trade and FTA policies, trade economics, direct investment flows, economic impact, and scenario analysis.
  • Work closely with our team of experts to deliver high-quality projects and presentations.
  • Engage with senior client leaders to share and guide policy making and senior-level decision making.
  • Manage large-scale projects and shape the solution and lead in delivering the work.

Requirements:
  • PhD or master's degree in Economics, with 10 years of work experience, preferably with prior consultancy and/or public policy experience.
  • Deep expertise and preferably experience of trade negotiations, trade agreements, and trade policy formulation, economic development and planning, exposure to macroeconomic modeling and research, economic impact, and scenario analysis.
  • Mathematical aptitude required with a strong ability to deal with scaled datasets and interpreting economic data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective internal and external relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Fluency in the English language, preferably also an Arabic speaker.
