An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Trauma and Orthopaedic Nurse to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Job Overview

Our 22-bedded acute ward specialises in trauma and orthopaedics, functioning as part of the Thames Valley Trauma Network at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. We are committed to being a centre of excellence and would like you to help us achieve this goal.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Band 5 Staff Nurse who will:

  1. Supervise the nursing team, ensuring individual patient care programmes are formulated according to their needs and current research guidelines.
  2. Undertake patient assessments, including risk assessments.
  3. Deliver planned nursing care safely and effectively, taking into account patient views and those of their relatives.
  4. Implement and update plans of care as necessary.
  5. Plan duty rotas, identifying staffing shortfalls and initiating replacement staff or rota reorganisation.
  6. Maintain safe working conditions on the ward.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
