This locum 12-month Specialist Orthopaedic post attracts 10 PAs and involves elective surgery at Wycombe Hospital, where there is a dedicated ward for elective orthopaedics and a day surgery unit. The trauma service is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, which has a designated Trauma Unit and provides acute surgical care to a population of 500,000.

Applicants should possess FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent, be registered with the General Medical Council, and demonstrate appropriate training and experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery, including fellowship-level training involving trauma delivery.

The successful candidate will undertake trauma surgery and fracture clinics, participating in the Consultant on-call rota, and may be required to work weekends.

The estimated salary for this role is around £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
