Care Assistant (Dayshift) Care and Support

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Watford House Care Home in the High Peak area. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promoting independence and encouraging positive choices.
  • Personalized Care: Support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assisting with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  • Social Support: Foster social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding promptly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Spread Smiles: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
Requirements:
  • Preferred Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Values: Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork are essential.
