Practice Administrator

Kameo Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Practice Administrator to join their team in Cambridge. As a key member of the Legal Operations Team, you will provide administrative support to a group of lawyers, ensuring the smooth running of the client lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the first point of contact for fee-earners, handling calls, emails, correspondence, and meeting requests.
- Manage calendars for assigned fee earners, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Support fee-earners in the day-to-day running of client matters, including billing and credit control.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the firm's billing systems and procedures.
- Manage travel and expenses, ensuring business travel is booked through the in-house provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both electronic and hard copy.
- Prepare, amend, and proofread documents, ensuring high-quality output.
- Organize business events, including breakfasts, dinners, and smaller gatherings.
- Support the rollout of new technology and solutions, working closely with the technical team.
- Provide ongoing support with filing, archiving, scanning, photocopying, and updating contacts on Interaction.
- Previous experience in a similar professional services environment, ideally in a legal setting.
- Strong administrative skills, with experience supporting a team and carrying out duties as outlined in this job spec.
- Proven calendar management skills, with experience managing multiple individuals' calendars.
- Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office and other business management applications.
- Previous experience using bespoke in-house systems, including client contact databases, matter management systems, and billing systems.
- Desirable: experience in a role with some responsibility for testing or supporting the rollout of new technology and solutions.
