Medical Accounts Team Manager/Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Senior Manager to join our Medical Accounts team in Cambridge. The role offers a unique blend of client-facing work and opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Team

You will be part of our dynamic and specialist Medical team, providing accountancy, taxation, and business support services to a diverse range of healthcare providers, medical practices, limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Our team is a member of AISMA (Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants).

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our Medical Accounts team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships with clients, managing client portfolios, and attending client meetings.
  • Reviewing accounts and tax computations, delegating tasks to junior staff members, and providing guidance and support.
  • Assisting in the development of trainees, including training, reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Managing deadlines, setting budgets, and ensuring timely client billing.
  • Reporting directly to partners and collaborating with them to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development, including healthcare-related training, to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Opportunities for networking and business development, tailored to your interests and strengths.
  • Collaborating with other managers, tax specialists, and team members to achieve shared goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold the ICAEW/ACCA qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience and expertise.
  • Previous experience in a UK practice environment, preparing accounts and tax returns for unincorporated and corporate clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, including Sage and Xero.
