Medical Accounts Team Manager/Senior Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Senior Manager to join our thriving Medical Accounts team in Cambridge. The role offers a unique blend of client-facing responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Team

As a member of our specialist Medical team, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that provides accountancy, taxation, and business support services to a diverse range of healthcare providers, medical practices, limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and expertise to our clients, and we are proud to be members of AISMA (Association of Independent Specialist Medical Accountants).

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and success of our Medical Accounts team. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, managing your own client portfolio, and attending client meetings. You will also be involved in reviewing accounts and tax computations, delegating tasks to junior team members, and providing training and guidance to support their development.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including managing your own client portfolio and attending client meetings.
  • Review and analyze accounts and tax computations, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Take ownership of managing deadlines, setting and meeting budgets, and client billing.
  • Collaborate with partners and other team members to deliver exceptional service and expertise to our clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through our comprehensive training program.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of our Medical Accounts team through your expertise and leadership.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Manager/Senior Manager who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Hold the ICAEW/ACCA qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Have previous recent experience in a UK practice environment preparing accounts and tax returns for unincorporated and corporate clients.
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office and accounting software such as Sage and Xero.
