Overview

The State of Minnesota is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Planning Construction Program Administrator. This position will be responsible for supporting the management and administration of the District 6 State Road Construction (SRC) budget, as well as the development and administration of the 10-year Capital Highway Investment Plan (CHIP).

Job Summary

This position will oversee and administer the District's budget and capital programs, including financial tracking of construction expenditures and districtwide set-aside funding categories. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage and maintain project data in various systems, serve as the District's 10-year plan Coordinator, and support activities of the Southeast Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership (ATP).

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have at least two years of professional-level experience that demonstrates high-level experience with MS Office applications, strong communication skills, experience with accounting databases and data management concepts, and experience in coordinating and leading working group activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the State's Capital Highway Investment Management Enterprise System (CHIMES).
  • Experience using math, finance, or accounting skills in workplace activities.
  • Broad technical knowledge of transportation planning and program development.
