About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSS Advisor to join our team in Glasgow, UK. As a key member of our European Wind and Solar business area, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and security of our projects and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HSS advice and guidance to project managers and teams on all aspects of health, safety, and security.
  • Coach and manage local HSS resources designated for each project, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Liaise with contractors' HSS staff to ensure compliance with Statkraft's HSS policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a positive HSS culture within projects, including project kick-offs and regular HSS meetings.
  • Participate in relevant activities throughout all phases of project development and acquisitions.
  • Carry out HSS reviews, inspections, and audits across the business area's activities.
  • Lead or participate in investigations of serious incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Assure, investigate, and provide support for HSS activities to projects elsewhere in our portfolio.
  • Implement efficient HSS work processes in our UK projects, in accordance with Statkraft's governance and collaborating with UK HSS.
  • Liaise with authorities and government bodies, including participation in safety forums and technical committees on behalf of Statkraft.
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience within HSS in an industrial work environment.
  • IOSH & NEBOSH trained.
  • Knowledge of ISO:45001.
  • Practical experience from execution of large construction projects, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
  • Detailed knowledge of UK HSS legislation and CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Result-oriented, structured, and flexible with ability to create good work relations.
  • A team player, who can work independently and drive HSS improvement work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
