We are seeking a highly skilled HSS Advisor to join our team in Glasgow, UK. As an HSS Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and security of our employees, contractors, and the public.
About the RoleThe HSS Advisor will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on HSS matters to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for coaching, managing, and following up with local HSS resources designated for each project.
Key Responsibilities- Provide HSS advice and guidance to project managers and contractors
- Coach and manage local HSS resources
- Liaise with contractors' HSS staff in construction projects
- Contribute to establishing a good HSS culture in projects
- Participate in relevant activities in all phases of project development and acquisitions
- Carry out HSS reviews, inspections, and audits
- Lead or participate in investigations of serious incidents
- Assure, investigate, and provide support for HSS activities in projects elsewhere in our portfolio
- University degree in engineering or equivalent
- Relevant experience within HSS in an industrial work environment
- IOSH & NEBOSH trained
- Knowledge of ISO:45001
- Practical experience from execution of large construction projects, preferably within the renewable energy industry
- Detailed knowledge of UK HSS legislation and CDM Regulations 2015
- Result-oriented, structured, and flexible with ability to create good work relations
- A team player with ability to work independently and drive HSS improvement work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
