About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Summer Lane Nursing Home in Weston Super Mare. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal support and care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Aid residents with emotional well-being and social needs, promoting a sense of community and belonging
  • Support residents at meal times, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
  • Interact with residents on a personal level, building relationships and trust
  • Maintain and develop residents' care plans, ensuring their needs are met and their preferences are respected
About You

We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who is able to engage well with residents and their families. You will have good written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of people with dementia, and experience as a Care Assistant (although not essential). You will also have an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this.
