SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students of a primary school in Stratford, Newham. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to children with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist with personal care needs as required.
  • Support the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and help implement them.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Ability to support students with personal care needs.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the school community.
