The Australian Childhood Foundation is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Development Specialist to join our team in supporting children and families affected by trauma.

The successful candidate will be employed as a Part-Time Family Support Worker, working closely with professionals and parents/carers to develop and implement family-centred therapeutic approaches for children and young people recovering from family violence.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of children, young people, and families;
  • Substantial experience in the area of child abuse and/or working with traumatised children;
  • A current Victorian driver's licence or equivalent;
  • A current Working with Children check or equivalent;
