Job Title: Financial Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Analyst to join our team at NatWest. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining compliant and fit-for-purpose models used in our risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain risk models and decision support models to support automated decision making, capital calculation, provisioning, and stress testing across all franchises.
  • Build analytics and models and integrate them into our analytics platform with cloud services.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with risk model requirements.
  • Conduct testing, back testing, and results analysis of developed models.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in models, measures, and approaches used within the team.
  • Work effectively with other risk functions, customer franchises, and broader functions to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the model suite.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in machine learning modeling with strong financial knowledge.
  • Strong background in data-driven analysis and statistical and mathematical modeling.
  • Ability to translate complex techniques into simple concepts.
  • Experience in developing and applying risk models, including scoring and model monitoring.
  • Background in successfully using and deploying new data sources, approaches, and tools.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques, credit reference data, external agency data, credit systems, and databases toolsets.
