We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at cer Financial, working alongside an exciting European investment bank based in the City of London. This is a temp to perm opportunity that will provide you with a unique chance to work with a leading financial institution.
About the RoleAs a Fund Credit Risk Analyst, you will report to the Head of Credit Risk London and be responsible for providing risk analysis on regulated and unregulated funds, asset managers, private equity funds, pension funds, and potentially banking institutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting risk analysis for new credit requests or annual reviews of existing clients.
- Proposing internal ratings based on the risk analysis performed and ensuring that the ratings are in line with the relevant rating methodology.
- Checking that each request is in line with the Bank's relevant risk policy.
- Ensuring that the annual reviews and rating updates are done in a timely manner and per relevant standards set by the department.
- Presenting the Risk recommendation to the credit committee and/or delegation holder.
- Providing Risk input to the legal documentation.
- Actively monitoring the risk profile of the existing client portfolio.
- Ensuring a smooth and timely processing of all credit requests.
- Providing back-up for other credit analysts of the London Risk Department if and when necessary.
- Assisting in transversal tasks when necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a finance and/or economics background, strong financial analysis and modelling skills, and good knowledge of the fund industry, including the hedge fund industry. You will also need to be able to produce detailed and concise risk analysis, assess, present, and explain complex transactions and new activities to management, and assess the key credit, market, legal, and operational risks when dealing with funds/banks.
